Typically I fall into that group of people who only enjoy reggae music while on a beach somewhere, indulging in way too much rum and singing along to only the most well-known Bob Marley songs. In my defense, growing up in rural North Carolina didnt provide much exposure to island culture or music; I actually thought Jimmy Buffett was a reggae artist until my late teen years. With that said, I will be the first to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed Sunday nights show by The Supervillains, not a traditional reggae act by any means — more of the Sublime style of reggae-rock-ska — but as close to reggae as I usually get.
