Everyone's favorite local mainstay, CL's award-certified "Best Scene Elder Statesman," and an overall great guy, cow punk humorist Sean "Crash" Mitchell celebrates making it to 42 years (and thumbs his nose at a few close calls) with his traditional birthday show. Rounding out the bill are some of his musician friends — hardcore punk outfit Dukes of Hillsborough, pop singer-songwriter Gloff (read a review of his new album, THIS, at cltampa.com/music) and anti-folk artist Jen Shamro. Come out and give your regards!
Details: The Crash Mitchell Five with The Dukes of Hillsborough, Jeremy Gloff, Jen Shamro Sat., July 16, 9 p.m. doors, New World Brewery, Ybor City, $6.
