TOO MANY ZOOS / PAQUIN ARTISTS AGENCY

What does the genre brasshouse sound like ? The only way to find out is to witness a Too Many Zooz concert in the flesh—which is convenient since the horns and percussion band is headlining Crowbar this Tuesday. “Brasshouse is a high energy musical conversation,” trumpet player Matt "Doe" Muirhead says about the trio’s unique genre.

The brasshouse and funk band has come a long way since being discovered in the subways of New York City in 2014, even performing with Beyonce at the Country Music Awards a few years ago.

Too Many Zooz. Tues., Jan. 14. 8 p.m. $18.50. Crowbar, 1812 N 17th St., Ybor City. crowbarybor.com
