Well, it looked like we were gonna see Dashboard Confessional twice in a year, but now the band has pulled out of shows in St. Petersburg (Sept. 28 at Jannus Live), Boca Raton (Sept. 27 at Mizner Park Amphitheater) and Atlanta (Sept. 29 at Coca-Cola Roxy).
"I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to tell you that we must make up the following shows at a later date… a member of my family has survived emergency open heart surgery but has a difficult few days ahead." Dashboard Confessional frontman Chris Carrabba wrote in a statement.
As of now the band plans to return to the Summer Ever After Tour on October 1 in Houston, but in the meantime Carrabba said the he is grateful for fans' kindness and understanding.
All Time Low and Gnash are still scheduled to perform in St. Petersburg and Atlanta, but the Boca date has been canceled outright.
"Please go support my friends All Time Low and Gnash in St. Petersburg and Atlanta as those shows will continue," he said "We look forward to coming back to perform for you soon."
