Yacht rock fans probably know singer-guitarist Dave Mason. His single “We Just Disagree” is on heavy rotation on AM gold playlists, under the “No-Fault Breakup” soft-rock song theme, which is right next to the much bigger “Non-commital sex” song theme. Mason started in the psychedelic-rock band Traffic, with Steve Winwood, and those influences are still present in his music.

Those fans will also have to keep listening to Mason’s music anywhere but in a live setting because on Wednesday, he canceled his entire U.S. tour, including a April 23 show at Clearwater’s Bilheimer Capitol Theatre.

A press release says that Mason made the decision out of “an abundance of caution to Dave’s fans, band and crew with the pandemic still a concern…”

“Dave will be taking care of some health items he has been putting off during this time due to constant touring and looks forward to returning to the road and delivering the show that his fans have grown accustomed to seeing,” the release adds.

Ticketholders are supposed to be contacted about refunds.
