Here's some breaking news sure to disappoint fans of Conor Oberst, angular agitprop posthardcore, and the place where those two things meet: Oberst's amazing on-again, off-again band Desaparecidos has been forced to cancel its remaining tour dates — including tomorrow's tonight's Orpheum show for Pre-Fest and Fest itself in Gainesville — due to Oberst succumbing to "laryngitis, anxiety and exhaustion."
Oberst is on his way back to Omaha, Nebraska to recuperate, and also had to cancel a December 2 solo gig at NYC's Webster Hall. Affected dates are below; the press release says "Refunds available at point of purchase," but we're pretty sure that doesn't count for Fest passes, you know?
