Embattled Yonkers rapper DMX  was released from federal prison last month, and his first show back was at a Staten Island sushi restaurant. The 49-year-old’s upcoming comeback tour will mercifully visit much more traditional venues.

This week, DMX (born Earl Simmons) announced a two-month trek in celebration of the 20th anniversary for his classic debut LP It’s Dark and Hell is Hot. It’s technically the album’s 21st anniversary, but the guy was locked up for tax evasion, so give him a break.

Florida fans will get two chances to see the set when DMX hits The Ritz Ybor on April 11 and Ft. Lauderdale’s Revolution on April 10. A May 12 festival date will also happen at Rolling Loud in Miami.

Tickets for the Ybor show go on sale Friday, February 8 and will cost $30. More information is available at foryourfriends.net.
