Words from Snoop D.O. double G that he probably never thought would apply to himself and the mix martial arts juggernaut, the UFC.
Over the weekend, it was confirmed by former WEC bantamweight champion and recently crowned UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber that the "California Kid" and Snoop Dogg will be commentators on the UFC's new show, Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series.
Available only through the UFC's online subscription, UFC Fight Pass, fans will have the toggle option of switching from the traditional color commentary to that of the two California-natives.
The UFC has branded the two the "most anticipated new commentary team in sports."
Yes, I too thought this was a joke the first time I read it, but in reality, Snoop's been building towards a role like this for a while.
The last two years, Snoop Dogg Animal Planet-esque commentary on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, a skit called "Plizzanet Earth," has been the topic of viral fodder, with many begging for a Snoop led commentary role.
Snoop has actually been involved with past UFC promotions as well, providing 'previews' of the main events for both UFC 209 and UFC 2010.

The show debuted July 11, and as previously mentioned, is only available via UFC Fight Pass.
