The Dunedin International Film Festival kicked off Wednesday, taking over six venues to present comedy specials, panels, shorts, documentaries and feature-length work.

It dips its toes into St. Petersburg’s Warehouse District for a gig headlined by Jerome Derradji, a French Chicagoan and DJ who founded the Still Music label in 2004.

Derradji narrates “Taking Back the Groove,” one of the festival’s first films, and a documentary that tells the story of Bronx disco star Richie Weeks. Expect him to spin tunes by Weeks at this set, along with more obscure disco, funk and house.

Tickets to see Jerome Derradji play Suite E Studios in St. Petersburg on Saturday, Jan. 11 are still available and start at $10.
