Last year, Rio celebrated its 40th anniversary, and Tampa fans who’ve been saving prayers for a show from Duran Duran can now rejoice since the U.K. pop giant just announced plans to be in Florida this summer.

Tickets to see Duran Duran play Amalie Arena in Tampa on Saturday, June 17 go on sale Thursday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. EST and start at $36.20. The show is just one of two Florida shows from the band, which will be joined by disco king Nile Rodgers & Chic, plus Grammy-nominated U.K. pop youngins Bastille.

Duran Duran & Chic last played Tampa together back in 2016, for a night of non-stop dancing at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheater.

Despite Duran Duran’s buckets of hits, the show won’t be all nostalgia since Simon Le Bon & co. did release a new album, Future Past, in 2021. Last year, the group was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

“It’s remarkable to me that as a band, we are still hitting new milestones and introducing the sound of DD to new generations of music lovers. We are truly grateful that we get to do what we do on a daily basis, and that we still love our job as much as we did when we started out some four decades ago,” Le Bon wrote in a release.
