Hip-hop legend Grandmaster Flash has announced that he will headline Largo’s AAPAC theater on February 7, alongside special guest DJ Sandman.

According to APPAC theater’s website, its venue will be transformed into a dance club for this performance celebrating “hip hop’s most formative decade.”

On his Facebook account, Grandmaster Flash often refers to himself as the “godfather of hip-hop culture,” and well, he’s absolutely right.  His contributions to the world of DJ entertainment and hip hop have cemented his place in music history, including a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2007.

Tickets for Grandmaster Flash’s Largo show start at $12.50 and can be purchased at largoarts.com or in person at the APPAC center box office at 105 Central Park Dr. in Largo.
