Today, Amalie Arena announced that multi-platinum, Grammy-winning songwriter Ed Sheeran will play a show on August 29. It’s the 26 year old’s first show in the area since a September 2015 appearance.
Tickets for the date in support of his new album ÷ (pronounced “divide,” in case you’re allergic to math), go on sale March 17 at 10 a.m. EST. and will cost fans $39.50-$89.50.
Pre-sales start on March 13, and a press release says that “an innovative new tech product from Ticketmaster” (they've been calling it Ticketmaster Verified Fan) has been built to help artists combat bots and get tickets into the hands of real fans who intend to go to the event.
