Not to be confused with the Swedish death-metal band Carnage, Carnage the DJ will be part of the Ritz’s stacked New Year’s weekend bill. The Guatemalan-American producer’s dance-inducing bass has been felt by the massive crowds at Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, and other popular EDM festivals around the world.

He is also considered a pioneer of the trap-electronic fusion genre, combining deep bass with popular rap songs.

Carnage/ Lil’ Texas. Fri. Dec., 27. 10 p.m. $25. The Ritz, 1503 E 7th Ave, Tampa.theritzybor.com
