Elvis Costello and the Imposters returns to St. Pete this month, and we bet he wears the kilt

If there’s anything that Elvis Costello has in common with Bruce Springsteen, CSNY, and Paul Simon, it’s that there’s not a single skippable song on his debut album.

As we slowly approach the 50th anniversary of My Aim Is True, the 70-year-old is spending his summer looking back on the first few years of his stardom with The Attractions (which is basically the same thing as his current Imposters band, minus bassist Bruce Thomas).

It’s gonna be a hot one too, so don’t be too shocked if Costello—who will be joined by longtime Bob Dylan guitarist Charlie Sexton—rocks a kilt onstage.

Tickets to see Elvis Costelllo & the Imposters play Duke Energy Center at Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg on Wednesday, July 9 are still available and start at $56.
