According to isthisbandemo.com, Texas is the Reason is an emo band. The seal of approval therefore adds another layer of credibility to this Emo Night Tampa booking featuring a headlining slot from the band’s ex-frontman Garrett Klahn.

Klahn — who plays in Tampa Bay at least one or two times a year, oftentimes with Have Gun, Will Travel — will headline the free pop-up concert at The Hub in downtown Tampa on July 9. Tanner Jones, whose emo band You Blew It! Is on hiatus, will open the show with a rare solo set.

“I told myself (and maybe some of you) that I was taking a break from shows for a while,” Jones wrote in a post announcing the gig. “Well, I am a weak, weak man.”
