Don’t be too surprised if you see Pete Wentz gazing into the eyes of a manatee at ZooTampa ahead of Fall Out Boy’s first Tampa show since a private Stanley Cup ring concert in 2021.

When the band stopped in Jacksonville on the Hella Mega Tour with Green Day and Weezer a few months before that, Wentz was enthralled enough by one he met at the Jacksonville Zoo that he dedicated “Save Rock and Roll” to it onstage.

Oh, and a side note regarding the band’s personnel: In case you haven’t heard, guitarist Joe Trohman is back in the fold, following a brief mental health break earlier this year.

Opening the show is U.K. rock giant Bring Me the Horizon, a Brit and Grammy-nominated quintet that’s sold more than 5 million albums and collaborated with an eclectic group of artists including Lil Uzi Vert and Daryl Palumbo of Glassjaw who both appeared on a new track, “Amen!.”

Tickets to see Fall Out Boy play MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa on Tuesday, July 25 are still available and start at $39.50.
