A concert performance photograph by Ryan Kern showing Daikaiju plays Hooch and Hive in Tampa, Florida on Nov. 3, 2023. Captured in a medium shot during a live indoor performance, a guitarist performing with kaiju/surf-rock band Daikaiju plays a light blue electric guitar while wearing a white-and-red painted Kabuki-style face mask. The performer has dark curly afro hair, blue body paint across their right arm and shoulder, and wears a sleeveless floral patterned shirt, bathed in dramatic red and blue stage lighting with an audience member visible in the background.

A Tampa show from Alabama surf-punk band Daikaiju has become an annual occurrence, but rarely does it ever fall on Halloween.

Wear a mask—just like members of the literally fiery rock and roll quartet—and then try and match the kabuki-masked madness it brings to this Seminole Heights brewery.

Tickets to see Daikaiju, Liquid Pennies, and Human Kinda at Magnanimous Brewing in Tampa on Saturday, Oct. 31 are still available and start at $25.
