Did you miss the green river last weekend? How about a Greensky instead?

Greensky Bluegrass plays Jannus Live in St. Petersburg on St. Patrick’s Day, and the band of Michiganders is the most electric bluegrass band you’ll ever see, assuming you think Greensky belongs in that genre. There are undoubtedly twangy acoustic instruments involved, but if you see some of the names the band has collaborated with, you’ll expect electrifying scenery.

As for John Craigieโ€”who opens the showโ€”the spirit of early protest-folk musicians lives on in the L.A. born troubadour. Pete Seeger is gone and you’ll probably never see a Guthrie onstage again, so perhaps we need Craigie now more than ever.
