As superb as Jason Isbell made Georgia Blueโ€”an all-covers album he promised to make if Joe Biden turned the state of Georgia, err, blueโ€”it warms our hearts that the 43-year-old and his band of well over a decade is focusing on its 2020 Reunions album, which was first released exclusively in physical formats to help ailing independent record stores.

No telling if Amanda Shires is going to show up during Isbellโ€™s second gig of 2023 (her next gig isnโ€™t until March at Londonโ€™s O2 arena, after all), but at the very least, Peter Oneโ€”a Nashville musician who was once a superstar in Africaโ€”opens for the four-time Grammy award winner.

Hope the right-wingers donโ€™t stand outside Ruth Eckerd protesting Americanaโ€™s wokest Twitter guy, and props to Isbellโ€”who once played Crowbar in Ybor City (a set which we believe inspired “Traveling Alone”)โ€”for coming back over and again.

Tickets to see Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit play Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on Friday, Jan. 20 are still available and start at $58.25.
