Thanks to melodic flourishes and a tempered approach to brutal deathcore riffs, Betraying the Martyrs’ music has transcended many of the metal tags critics try and pin on heavier bands. Now the French sextet is bringing that sound on the road for its first headlining U.S. tour.
The trek, which hits Crowbar in Ybor City on July 2, happens as the band works on a new album after parting ways with guitarist Louis D’Angelo in 2018.
The band promises to play songs from the still-untitled effort on this tour where Entheos, Within Destruction, Sentinels and Defying Decay play support. The only other Florida stop on the jaunt is on July 3 at Soundbar in Orlando. Tickets for the Ybor City show start at $15, and more information is available via crowbarybor.com.
