The beachy, Venezuelan quartetโwhich describes itself as a group that takes on a โdistinctive fusion of reggae, funk, soul, rock, and Caribbean rhythmsโโjust played an NPR Tiny Desk set, a rite of passage for any band or artist trying to make it.
Following that and a handful of homecoming gigs, the band will kick off what appears to be its first-ever full U.S. tour in St. Pete, mostly featuring all-Spanish anthems, one of which references WikiLeaks theories while acknowledging that people should celebrate the day they were conceived, as well as respective birthdays.
