Houston-based pop-punk trio Waterparks already had a pretty solid followingโwith over a million monthly listeners on Spotify and a few years of experience on the dearly beloved Vans Warped Tourโbefore signing to the home of Fall Out Boy and Meet Me @ The Altar last year. The band’s hyper new album Intellectual Property actually peaked at No. 33 on the Billboard 200 in April.
Weโre still a little bitter that the band promoted its greatest hits album with an acoustic set at Orlandoโs Park Avenue CDs instead of, God forbid, St. Peteโs Daddy Kool Records or Tampaโs Microgroove, but in the hours leading up to Waterparksโ stop at Jannus Live this weekend, nothing is off the table in terms of pre-show shenanigans. California indie rock band Hunny and indie-pop singer-slash-fashion designer Sophie Powers open.
Tickets to see Waterparks play Jannus Live in St. Petersburg on Saturday, June 3 are still available for $26.50.
