Today, GMF—set for Friday-Sunday, Feb. 25-27 in downtown Tampa—posted set times and shared a downloadable version of the 2022 Gasparilla Music Festival schedule.
As expected, Black Pumas (Friday), The Revivalists (Saturday) and Trombone Shorty (Sunday) are closing out their respective days, but there are plenty of reasons to get to the festival early each day including DJ Ku and Treis & Friends (playing 4 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. on Friday, respectively), the gospel choir and Mak (both playing 1:30 p.m. on Saturday), plus Amy Ray and Kenzie Wheeler (playing at 2:15 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, respectively).
Unlike last year when a negative test or proof of vaccination was required, GMF 2022 currently does not have a test or vaxx requirement. The festival’s FAQ section says that could change, but GMF’s Executive Director David Cox told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that at this time, there is no negative test requirement for GMF attendees.
“We have just left that open in case anything changes. As of today, it doesn’t appear that it will,” Cox added.
