Washington D.C.’s Thievery Corporation brings its Outernational Tour to St. Petersburg, across the bridge from where the band last played in Tampa almost exactly two years ago. Though technically a duo, the electronic outfit tours with a stage full of musicians to fill out the layered sounds orbiting all over the world (be ready for bossa nova, hip-hop, reggae, acid jazz, and classical Indian). No wonder the pair—Rob Garza and Eric Hilton—has been playing, and producing, since the ‘90s with no sign of stopping. Check out the 2020 album Symphonik for orchestral renditions of the band’s top tracks.
