In Clearwater on Monday, Geoff Tate, lead singer of ‘80s prog-metal band Queensryche, is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the band’s Empire album. Tate, with the help of an unnamed backing band, will perform both the triple platinum record and Queensryche’s 1985 release Rage for Order in their entirety.
So be a nice kiddo and be a designated driver to your former hesher parent who might get to relive some of their metal days—just make sure mom and dad know to use their cell phone torch and not a lighter during “Silent Lucidity”, OK?
