Multiple Grammy award-winner Gladys Knight has been the “Empress of Soul” for decades for a good reason. There’s no escaping Knight’s hits like “Since I Fell For You” and “Midnight Train to Georgia,” which was released in 1973 by Gladys Knight & The Pips. She brings a stacked catalogue of love songs, soulful hits and tear-jerking ballads to Clearwater where she will defend her “Empress of Soul” title to a nearly sold-out room.

Gladys Knight . Tues. March 3, 7:30 p.m. $53.25-$103.25. Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater. rutheckerdhall.com
