Atlanta rapper CeeLo Green is set to perform at the 9th annual Winter Wonder Ride at Curtis Hixon Park on December 14. The event, hosted by nonprofit OnBikes, raises funds to give disadvantaged children bikes and helmets for the holidays. This year, the Goodie Mob rapper turned Gnarls Barkley star is set to perform post-ride, (DJ Jazzy Jeff and Salt-N-Pepa had the job last year).
Green has lost some major deals, fans and an unwelcomed return to “The Voice” after rape accusations, being on probation after pleading no contest to giving a woman ecstasy and just some major twitter asshole-ery. Maybe performing mega-hits "Crazy" and "Fuck You" to an audience full of sweaty ugly-christmas-sweater-wearing people for a good cause will help get him a little bit of his karma points back.
OnBikes Winter Wonder Ride w/CeeLo Green. Sat. Dec. 14, 2 p.m.-10 p.m. $45 & up. Curtis Hixon Park, Tampa. Onbikes.org.
