✔️ House of I w/Laundromat/Have Spirit/Terrapin/Gushing The Bolt — a Tampa concert promotions group led by Roxanne Gallo — heads across the bridge to stage a show where Matt Yungaitis makes a rare appearance with his Have Spirit alt-folk project. House of I (psych-rock) and Terrapin (electro) also show up on the bill, but the real highlights are a visit from Lakeland fuzz-pop group Laundromat and a set from Joe Seul (aka Gushing) who is supporting a bodacious, plinky album of interstellar noise-pop, Chasing Infinity. You could listen to the album on cltampa.com/music, but parties headed out to the show should know that a Gushing show likes to utilize “go with the flow” improvisation and a “juicy” sonic palette to maintain a not-so-steady “stream” of musical climaxes and sighs. I Set My Friends On Fire It’s the 10th anniversary of I Set My Friends on Fire’s debut full-length, You Can’t Spell Slaughter Without Laughter, so the Miami hardcore act is hitting the road and playing the effort in full with fans who’ve watched the group grow and change over the years. “Although the band has gone through so many changes from being two high school students from Miami making music after school on a laptop to five best friends from all around the U.S. touring the world, this album is the footprint that got it at all started,” the band wrote to fans. “We are so excited to bring this throwback to the fans that have stuck with us for so long.” (Crowbar, Ybor City) INFO

Art Department Johnny White’s back hurts (the Canadian DJ better known as Art Department had to cancel a gig in Holland last weekend). It might be from the heavy lifting he’s been doing since his No. 19 Music label became a one-man show, but we hope he’s feeling better before this SoHo set where he’ll bring an out-of-the-box approach to dance music (think heavier, dubby house and techno) to the floor. ✔️ Sugarshack Session IPA Release Party w/Honey Hounds/Garden Club/Alabama Rose Sugar Shack Sessions’ laid-back live performance videos are always refreshing to watch, and now the multimedia company and music hub has a beer to match (a crisp, citrus and tropical fruit-forward beer, made with Vic Secret, Mosaic, Mandarina Bavaria, and Rakau hops, anyone?). Birmingham’s Alabama Rose will be there to provide some rock and roll, and one of our Music Issue bands (Garden Club, featuring Natalie Depergola) is also on the bill along with Jacksonville funk-rock trio Honey Hounds. Rascal Flatts w/Dan + Shay/Carly Pearce Does Rascal Flatts even remember what that broken road even looks like? The Columbus, Ohio country vocal group has been around for nearly 20 years, and it’s been almost 15 turns around the sun since that Grammy-winning single spent five weeks on top of Billboard’s country charts. The boys — Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney — bring Rascal Flatts’ 10th studio album, Back To Us, to MidFlorida Credit Union on Friday, where Tennessee crooners Dan + Shay and “Every Little Thing” singer Carly Pearce play support. Broom Closet Here's a surprise show form Avery Moore's garage rock band, Broom Closet, which we haven't heard from since September of 2016. Bonus points for having the gig at Hooch and Hive, which is steady building a local music calendar worth bookmarking. (Hooch and Hive, Tampa) INFO

Kim Walker-Smith w/Urban Rescue Have you ever seen a Christian soft-rock postpartum depression album come to life in one of Florida’s sweatiest outdoor courtyards? If you answered yes, then holy shit, but if you haven’t, then Jesus Culture frontwoman Kim Walker-Smith is going to give you the chance when she arrives in support of last year’s On My Side, which, you guessed it, talks about how God helped her through that difficult time. Florida Folk Scene Showcase w/Tommy Simms/Alex Borst/Tuff Son Former Automatic Loveletter guitarist Tommy Simms plays a solo set along with St. Petersburg songwriter Alex Borst and Sarasota one-man blues band Tuff Son. Free to attend, but bring money for beer. (Cage Brewing, St. Petersburg) INFO
