As you already know, Gwar’s last show at The Ritz Ybor City was a (synthetically) bloody mess.

Well, the disgustingly fun metal band from outer space (or Virginia if you don’t believe in aliens) is on its way back to Tampa Bay on a fall tour that stops at The Ritz on September 24.

The news comes as the band readies an August 30 hometown unveiling of a memorial marker for late lead singer and co-founder, Dave Brockie.

A press release says that support on the tour — which also stops in Pensacola and Ft. Lauderdale — includes thrash metal stalwarts Sacred Reich and Toxic Holocaust, along with Detroit band Against The Grain. Tickets for the “Use Your Collusion” tour are on sale now and start at $22 via ticketmaster.com. Please enjoy this video of rockstar lawmaker Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rocking out to Gwar.
