Diamond D had his boots on the ground when hip-hop was emerging out of New York City. In April, the Diggin’ in the Crates Crew co-founder stopped into Tampa’s Grand Bay Recording Studios to share a new record — The Diam Piece 2, released May 10 — with a few locally based legends and some of the Bay area’s young princes, too.
On Sunday he stops into Crowbar’s Ol’ Dirty Sundays to spin an all-45 set of hip-hop, funk and soul (like he did last year and in 2013). Los Angeles’s DJ Erok plays support on the show alongside residents Fader and Casper.
