There are still 290 days left until Halloween, but don’t let that stop you from catching a rare Bay area gig by magnificently-wicked composer Alan Howarth whose work has defined an entire era of film, from “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” to “Poltergeist,” “Escape From New York” and five “Halloween” movies.

Normally seen at conventions, the 76-year-old takes part in the Tampa Bay Screams Horror Con for this biker bar gig near Pinellas Park where he’ll perform film scores.

Tickets to see Alan Howarth play OCC Roadhouse in Pinellas Park on Sunday, Jan. 19 are still available for $25.
