Fans of Mt. Joy might want to consider a night out to see the group’s musical brethren, Wilderado, which plays Crowbar in Ybor City on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

Over the course of its six-year existence, group has blended its Tulsa-born alt-rock with the folky Laurel Canyon sensibilities of its current hometown, Los Angeles. Wilderado opened for Mt. Joy last spring, but this time arrives to headline a tour supporting its own, self-titled album.

Great Lakes State songwriter Jason Singer (aka Michigander) was supposed to open the show, but broke his leg, so it’ll be a surprise to see who kicks things off.
