If you haven't heard the boisterous, feedback-laden cover of 1984's melodramatic, celebrity-stuffed hit single "Do They Know It's Christmas" yet, then you, my friend, are blowing it.
Spearheaded by perfectly-named Canadian loud-crazy-rock ensemble Fucked Up, the new version of the tune is simply, well … it's marvelous, really. It features fellow Canadians Tegan & Sara and Broken Social Scene, along with a cast of hipster-beloved names like Vampire Weekend, David Cross, Yo La Tengo, GZA, Bob Mould, TV on the Radio, and that guy who likes to party, Andrew WK.
