Indie-pop band Tops went “Topless” for a new video promoting Sugar At the Gate, its most ambitious album to date. There’s a lot of sarcasm and sexual innuendo on the effort, but the video clip is drenched in a surprisingly warm gray hue which compliments the way vocalist Jane Penny delivers the airy missive about a love that’s saccharine and bitter at the very same time.
New Orleans synth-pop duo Video Age opens the show.
