Next month, Modest Mouse has plans to release a new album, The Golden Casket, and on Oct. 16, the Portland-based band will bring the record to Tampa Bay for a show at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg.
Frontman Isaac Brock & co. were last in the area to support since-disgraced Brand New at the old Gary amp. Before that the band headlined Gasparilla Music Festival in 2015 to kick off a world tour in support of the band’s Strangers to Ourselves LP.
Tickets to see Modest Mouse play Jannus Live in St. Petersburg, Florida on Oct. 16 go on sale to the public on Wednesday, May 26 at 10 a.m. EDT and start at $37.50 ($40 day of show). A Spotify presale starts today at noon.
The show announcement comes after the song released a new song, “We Are Between,” on May 5 and more than a year after the release of three songs—“Ice Cream Party,” “Poison the Well,” and “I’m Still Here”—which the band supported on a tour with the Black Keys (that run skipped Tampa, but did hit Orlando).
UPDATE 05/27/21 1:21 Tickets to the concert went on sale to the public on Wednesday, May 26, not Friday, May 28. We regret the error, especially since the show is now sold-out.
