Tampa Bay’s It will Flood is the best of both worlds. The band’s debut EP Ghostlike & Rambling feels like it’s an old favorite, but also brand new. It’s a familiar bit of ‘90s indie and grunge rock—like the early Jane’s Addiction basslines and drugged-up darkness from Seattle. But Todd Tedder's horn arrangements add mysterious freshness that makes the four songs feel more dynamic than depressing.

Check out “Southpaw” by closing your eyes and getting lost in the six-minute musical journey. It’s freaking good, and the stellar sound could be because the group—making its Hideaway debut at this no-cover concert on Saturday—is made up of seasoned locals coming from notable Bay area bands like Low Season, Helium Bomb, The Boats and Fowler’s Bluff. Tedder—also on vocals—is joined by drummer Chad Mairn, bassist Todd McBride, and Dan LaJoy and George Eckerle both on guitar.
