Unlike Beyonce
, Janet Jackson still has love for Tampa Bay.

This morning, the 49-year-old songstress announced that she’d be returning to the road after a four-year hiatus, and while the 36-date tour does stop in Miami and Orlando, it also hits Tampa’s own Amalie Arena on September 24.

Jackson arrives in support of a brand new album (Unbreakable, due out this fall and available for pre-order), and tickets for the show go on sale Monday, June 22 at 10 a.m. EST. They are priced at $46.25-$126.25 and an American Express exclusive pre-sale started this morning and runs through Fri., June 19.

Her last appearance in Tampa grossed $330,717 and broke the Straz Center’s record for a single performance at the venue. With thousands more seats available at Amalie, expect her September 24 performance to net even more. Jackson is obviously no stranger to success (160 million records sold, six Grammys, a pair of Emmys, plus countless AMA, MTV, BET, and Billboard Music awards), but all of her recent cryptic messages about the new LP have been kind of, well, meh, so let’s relive the glory days and watch this video of “Nasty” to get excited.

Amalie Arena is located at 401 Channelside Drive in downtown Tampa. More information on the show is available here. Check out Tracy May's photos from the aforementioned December 2011 show here.
