Seeing Peelander-Z at Orpheum is kind of a rite-of-passage for any self-respecting Bay area live music fan, and the self-described “Japanese action comic punk band” never disappoints. If you need a primer, find the “Mad Tiger” documentary which is kind of like an all-access pass to the madness. Sisters Gwendolyn and Lucy Giles bring their indie, genre-defying rock band Dog Party to open the show.

Tickets to see Peelander-Z with Dog Party and No One Road at Tampa’s Orpheum on Monday, Oct. 9 are still available, and cost $13.
