It hasn’t been an easy pandemic for Frankie Valli, whoโ€™s playing Clearwaterโ€™s Ruth Eckerd Hall on Friday and Saturday.

Original Four Season Tommy DeVito succumbed to COVID-19 in 2020, and late last year, the 87-year-old Jersey boy himself was down with a bout of pneumonia. He’s all healed up, but perhaps we should have listened when he told us to hang onto what we’ve got.

After many postponements going back to 2020, The Four Seasons, circa 2022, play two nights in the Bay area this weekend, adding to the band’s record of “most played shows at Ruth Eckerd Hall.” For Frankie’s 30th performance there in 2018, at-the-time Clearwater mayor George Cretekos presented him with a key to the city, and “Peppermint Twist” singer Joey Dee was in the crowd. Yeah, he’s kind of a legend.
