The Queers are still hanging on by a thread, and singer Joe Queer (real name Joe King) is the only remaining original member, with dozens of bandmates rotating in and out since the New Hampshire band formed in 1981.

Joe has gotten himself in some occasional trouble over everything from the band’s name to its lyrics, but what do you except from a musician with songs like “See You Later Fuckface” and “Fuck the World”? While the band’s moniker is outdated, the Ramones-style pop-punk still holds up.

Local bands Twisty Chris and the Puddin Packs, Fear The Spider, and Victims of Circumstance open with a mix of punk, ska, rock and more punk.

The Queers w/Twisty Chris and the Puddin Packs/Fear The Spider/Victims of Circumstance. Sunday, Aug. 1, 7:30 p.m. $15. Brass Mug, Tampa. INFO
