
This September marks 10 years since โThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert” debuted, with Batisteโwho appeared almost every night until 2022โand his band Stay Human serving as the house band.
The 38-year-old has since composed the jazz pieces heard in Disney-Pixarโs โSoul,โ portrayed Billy Prestonโand provide the scoreโin last yearโs โSaturday Night,โ and won five Grammy Awards for 2021โs We Are (stylized in all-caps), including Album of the Year.
Along with this morning’s โBig Moneyโ tour announcement (named after a new composition that will debut during this tour), Batiste declared that โthe things that are eternally valuable and enduring last forever even when the currency changes.โ
His date in Clearwater will be his first stop in Tampa Bay in over a decade, and if you canโt make a Wednesday night work, Batiste will be playing Ft. Lauderdale the next night, followed by Orlando on Friday, and St. Augustine on Saturday.
