On her bubbly latest album, Stereotype, Katie Costello dives into how she wouldn’t change the way she currently lives her life for anything.

The indie singer-songwriter—an L.A. native—refuses to conform to the nine-to-five lifestyle, and accepts that while shit definitely happens, looking after yourself makes a massive difference.

One of the album’s piano-driven tunes “Unheard” is currently up for a Hollywood Independent Music Award, so you’ll probably hear it when she headlines this installment of the Indie’s Local Legends series.

Pop/R&B instrumentalist Taylor Reed and alt-rock and country singer/songwriter Rich Anello open the show.
