Only time will tell if this goodbye really is forever, but goofball, loveable hard-rock band KISS has announced a final, 65-date farewell tour that stops at Tampa’s Amalie Arena on April 11.
Tickets to the show start at $27.75 and go on sale Friday, November 2 at 10 a.m. The only other Florida show on Kiss’ agenda is an April 12 date at Jacksonville’s Veterans Memorial Arena.
Deep fans might remember the band’s 2000 farewell tour, but guitarist Paul Stanley says this one’s different.

Ace Frehley is electrocuted onstage in Lakeland
“The [2000] farewell tour was at the end of the time that we had brought back the two original members [guitarist Ace Frehley and drummer Peter Criss] and it was such drudgery and so difficult and so unhappy that it just seemed like ‘let’s put the horse down,’” he told Rolling Stone, “After the tour was over, it didn’t take me very long to realize I didn’t want to say goodbye to the band; I wanted to say goodbye to two members.”
So does that mean Frehley, Criss or any other members are definitely out?
“This will be a celebration of KISS and not any individual lineup or any individual members,” he added. “I wouldn’t rule anything out.”
Our tears are falling in anticipation.
