Leon Majcen’s take on Lukas Graham’s “Love Someone” is back on Sirius XM’s Coffeehouse radio, and the video for it has been picked up by Warner Music Group’s Cover Nation channel.

The attention probably has a lot to do with the way Majcen’s voice just grabs you when it exits a PA system (long story short: the kid is 19 years old, but he has the grizzled old vocal of a man three-and-a-half times his age). The Tampa Bay expat comes home for this Hideaway Café show alongside Virginia songwriter Bryan Elijah Smith and rising, Nashville-based road warrior Matthew Szlachetka, who Rolling Stone mentioned in a 2017 article titled “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know.”

Bryan Elijah Smith w/Leon Majcen/Matt Szlachetka. Sat. June 15, 8 p.m.. $15. Hideaway Café, St. Petersburg. hideawaycafe.biz.
