Lots of folks are saying that Cynthia Erivo and Leslie Odom Jr. saved the Tony awards last weekend (no disrespect, Rockettes). While the 35-year-old Hamilton star felt lucky just to be there with the star of The Color Purple, Odom did admit that he would definitely host the soiree if asked.

It’s really about getting as many eyeballs on that thing as possible,” he added, before joking that he might have to capitalize on his recent filming of Murder on the Orient Express to be considered for the job. (He’s filling the role played by Sean Connery in an earlier film version of the Agatha Christie whodunnit.) “I think I have to do a couple more of those Sean Connery movies before they let me host, but yeah, I would love to host, are you kidding?”
