One of the singular greatest voices to come out of indie-rock in 2018 was the one that emanated like a gentle ghost when it came out of Virgina songwriter Lucy Dacus.

The 23-year-old (who is also one-third of supergroup Boygenius with Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker) released perhaps the year’s best album (Historian), and she’s just announced plans to bring it to Florida.

Tampa Bay fans will be happy to see that Dacus has booked a hyper-intimate gig at Crowbar on May 7. Mothers — who last stunned the very same room in October 2018 — will open the show. The only other Florida date on the tour is on May 6 at The Social in Orlando.

Tickets go on sale Friday, February 22. Details and a possible local opener (that’s wishful thinking, cough cough, please put Brother Cephus on the bill) have yet to be announced.

Lucy Dacus w/Mothers. Tues. May 7. Doors and ticket prices TBA. Crowbar, 1812 N. 17th St., Ybor City.
