Tampa's Magadog is back with a new CD that honors the fine tradition of classic Ska music while managing to make it sound fresh, innovative and fun. Ybor City the band's brand new self-released disc is brimming with bouncy rhythms, bold, brassy horns and lead singer Ed Lowery's infectious unique vocal delivery.

While lovingly paying tribute to the area and it's roots with songs like "La Teresita", "Ropa Vieja" and the title cut, Magadog has managed to make their new disc every bit an homage to their hometown as it is to the classic Jamaican genre they're representing.

The disc is a fun blast of enthusiastic, dance-inducing tunes that bears repeated listens. Ybor City is the perfect soundtrack for the long, hot summer we're in store for. 4 Stars
