Biishop the Artist’s soulful vocals, lyrics that hopelessly question his mother’s current amount of love for him, and airy, harmonious backing vocals make his latest Caido EP one of the finest musical odysseys to come out of any of our city’s amazing artists.

There should be no excuse as to why he has never performed on any stage at Gasparilla Music Festival, but in the meantime, Biishop performs at Far Forest, and Alan Watts-loving, groovy haven in the heart of Seminole Heights as part of nighttime block party.

Supporting Biishop the Artist is Mai Sweet Basil, a folky jazz and pop duo featuring Speak Easy keys player Karekin Sahagian plus In Your Joy and In The Pocket singer Nic Hoffer.

There’s no cover for the Party On The Block happening Thursday, Sept. 28 outside and around Far Forest in Tampa. The party also includes tarot readings, DJs, mocktails, naught waffles, games, barefoot dancing, candle making and more.
