Gainesville is making a stop in Tampa on April 6, and Marley Montano is leading the way.

Before Montano, better known as Venezuelan-American rapper Marley The Messenger, comes to The Blue Note, he's decided to share a new clip for "A Thousand Words A Day," a reflective, string and synth-driven ode to a fallen friend as well as the "the many teachers and practitioners of Hip Hop who helped to influence his life's path."

Tampa's Blue Note Bar is a new haven for songwriters

Some fans may remember Montano from Gainesville hip-hop group Voice of the People or Semi-Soul from Lakeland, but the Hip-Hop Collective founder and host of Gainesville's Soul Cypher is striking out on his own for this clip, which is just one of four Marley the Messenger-related singles that Electric Media Group is releasing in 2018.

Watch the clip, and get more information on the show, below. Follow Montano on Instagram, Facebook and Soundcloud.
