Get your KFC bucket, because the enigmatic, 56-year-old guitar beast Buckethead is back in Florida.

The weekend of shows starts with an intimate Ybor City gig just over a year after his last show in the area, at St. Peteโ€™s Jannus Live.

Though the masked manโ€™s career had a fairly strong beginning, Buckethead (born Brian Patrick Carroll) grew an even larger reputation around the turn of the century, when he joined Guns โ€˜N Roses and helped finish its long-delayed album Chinese Democracy, which didnโ€™t emerge until 2008.

You probably wonโ€™t hear any of that material on Thursday, but like everyone in the rock community should be, Carroll has been throwing in some Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath songs of late, so expect to defy the late Prince of Darkness and shed a few tears.

Tickets to see Buckethead play The Ritz Ybor on Thursday, Sept. 11 are still available and start at $53.59.
